On Tuesday, May 25, the Balkan Refugee and Migration Council (MYLA) organized training for its members on human trafficking. The director and one of the founders of NGO ASTRA, Marija Andjelkovic, introduced the participants of the training to the basics of the problem of human trafficking: trends, mechanisms and answers to the problem of THB. She also emphasizes the necessity of cooperation of all actors in the field of combating THB. The next theme was the regulations of the legal status of victims of trafficking and refugees (Annet Koopsen, independent lawyer), and after that – the procedures for identifying victims and ways to protect them (Brian Varma, NGO CoMensha – The Netherlands).
