From February 20 to 22, a workshop on countering irregular migration was held in Soko Banja. The workshop will be organized as part of the project “Strengthening capacities and partnerships for migration management in Serbia” implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with the support of Switzerland, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, and Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.
The subject of the workshop is the analysis of the results of pre-investigative actions in cases of human trafficking that resulted in a successful prosecution, that is, in the submission of a criminal report that resulted in an indictment or the completion of criminal proceedings in 2021 and 2022, with the aim of improving criminal proceedings in the area of proactive action in the detection perpetrators of human trafficking and victims of human trafficking.
On the last day of the workshop, the director of ASTRA, Marija Anđelković, presented the results of the legal analysis for the crime of human trafficking and related offences for the year 2021 and observed trends in this area. You can find the legal analysis for 2021 HERE!
