ASTRA organized press conferences in Subotica, Belgrade, and Preševo on the occasion of finishing the project “I am a refugee, I am a migrant, I am a human being” and the campaign “Migrations are OK. It’s all about the people” on February 5-7. Participants had an opportunity to hear more about the current situation in Serbia regarding migrant population and about the results of the campaign: in what way and how much the campaign contributed to raising awareness about the integration of migrants in our society, what the challenges were, and what risks the migrant population was exposed to during their journey, with focus on human trafficking. Furthermore, documentary videos created during campaign were presented. They have the aim to spread a positive message about the process of migration and to prevent human trafficking among this population. Speakers at the press conference in Belgrade were Katarina Ivanović, from ASTRA, Vladimir Petronijević, from Group 484 and Milutin Petrović, creative director of the campaign.
Project “I am a refugee, I am a migrant, I am a human being” was supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade.
