As part of the second phase of the project Horizontal Facility Action – Prevention and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings in Serbia, the Council of Europe organized a multidisciplinary workshop entitled „Prevention and Combating Human Trafficking for the Purpose of Labour Exploitation – The Role of Labour Inspectors“ in Vrdnik, Fruska Gora, on February 20-21. Workshop targeted labor inspectors and other relevant actors in the field of combating trafficking in human beings.
This workshop was dedicated to improving the knowledge of labor inspectors and other participants on legal framework governing the field of trafficking in human beings in Serbia; strengthening cross-sectoral cooperation among relevant actors; improving knowledge of the services available to victims of trafficking; as well as opening up space for the exchange of professional knowledge in the prevention and combating of trafficking in human beings.
A special role in this event was given to the representatives of the NGOs ATINA and NGO ASTRA, who facilitated and led most of the sessions at this event.
