We hosted partners from Greece, Slovenia and United Kingdom

ASTRA organized second partner’s meeting within the project Discourse Analysis with Unconditional Positive Regard – DAUPRwhich was held in the period April 24-26, in Belgrade. Representatives of the partner’s organizations had an opportunity to summarize results from the first six months of the project implementation. Furthermore, participants discussed and made the detailed plan for the activities in the next period. Among all this, guests from Greece, Slovenia and the United Kingdom visited ASTRA’s office and spoke with employees about human trafficking problem and ASTRA’s holistic approach to the issue. Also, they visited International Aid Network – IAN, the organization that is working with victims of torture and other marginalized groups in order to exchange experience about work with vulnerable groups in the society.

Regional DAUPR project is established as a training program for the upgrading of competences of practitioners working with vulnerable groups and transferring of knowledge on various topics, among them: unconditional positive regard, self-reflection, strength-based approach, discourse analysis, feminist theory and social constructivism. Partners on the project are the following: Mental Health Center of Agrinio and ODYSSEUS Centre for the prevention of abuses and the promotion of psycho-social rehabilitation (Greece), Plymouth and District Mind (United Kingdom), SENTPRIMA (Slovenia) and ASTRA as a partner from Serbia.
