Between 21st and 22nd March 2019, ASTRA had organized training for new peer educators on human trafficking topic. At that education, participators had opportunity to learn something more about human trafficking and performing workshops with youths. On first day of training, instructors from ASTRA had presented different programs of the organization and afterwards they have explained in detail sole term of Human trafficking, types of exploitation, and changed trends in human trafficking. During first day of training, participants acquired basic theoretical experience on this topic, and they have been presented ASTRA SOS telephone activities, available systems of support and help to human trafficking victims, and physical consequences of human trafficking. They have been also informed on ways of prevention, and what they should know so they could continue with passing the knowledge to pupils in primary schools and high school students through educational workshops. Second day of training was intended for practical performing of workshops, what are the techniques and rules of performing peer workshops, how to overcome stage fright and fear and what are the problems that educators can encounter. Aside of that, on second day of training, participants had opportunity to prepare themselves and perform some specific parts of workshop, based on theoretical part from the previous day. After training for peer educators, ASTRA will continue to work with participants, so they could be trained for conducting the peer workshops in schools across Serbia, on their own.
