“Surviving Violence-consequences on the psychological and physical health of the victims of domestic violence and human trafficking”

ASTRA organized panel discussion “Surviving Violence-consequences on the psychological and physical health of the victims of domestic violence and human trafficking” on November 15, 2016 with the support of the Ministry of Health. Participants at the panel discussion were students, as well as experts, in the field of psychology, medicine, social work, education that come into contact with victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. In this way, future and present experts learned about the consequences for the psychological and physical health of victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. Speakers at the panel discussion were: Tanja Ignjatovic, a psychologist from Autonomous Women’s Center, Slobodan Savic, a professor at the Medical Faculty in Belgrade, Biljana Slavković, a psychotherapist of the Institute of Psychodrama and Jovana Krotic, a psychologist from ASTRA.  After the panel discussion “Surviving Violence – consequences for the psychological and physical health of victims of domestic violence and human trafficking” ASTRA published a manual with texts of the speakers which may be useful reading for all employees who come into contact with victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.
