Novi Pazar – Coordinator of NGO “Damad” from Novi Pazar Zibija Šarenkapić stated her satisfaction with the fact that police has finally arrested suspected persons from this region in relation with human trafficking.
For Beta agency she said that the police had information that Novi Pazar is an important point in trafficking in women and that it was about time to end this.
Police from Novi Pazar arrested nine persons suspected to be involved in human trafficking. In an inspection of owners, personnel and guests of Novi Pazar nightclubs, the arrested are Hasiba R. (47), Hasib Š. (52), Faruk Dž. (45), Idriz F. (36), Nura B. (41), Elvis Dž. (32) from Novig Pazar, Azem M. (31) from Smederevo, Milena S. (58) from Vršac and Slobodan B. (31) from Sombor. In the night club “Jet set” whose owner is Hasib Š, police found three women. One is identified as victim of human trafficking and sheltered, said the police.
