Monitoring visits to the reception and transit centers in Serbia

During April and May, within the project “Networking and Capacity Building for More Effective Migration Policy in the Republic of  Serbia”, which the Group 484 has been implementing for the fourth consecutive year with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Serbia, a number of monitoring visits were made to the reception and transit centers in Sombor, Subotica, Kikinda, Pirot, Divljane, Dimitrovgrad, Preševo, Bujanovac and Bosilegrad, as well as to social protection institutions that are involved in providing care to unaccompanied minors: the social welfare centers in Pirot, Dimitrovgrad, Niš and Bujanovac, the Institute for the Education of Youth in Niš and the Home for disabled children “Kolevka”. The visit was attended by representatives of the PAG (Policy Advocacy Group), an informal network of 13 civil society organizations that monitor migration, human trafficking and gender-based violence, including ASTRA.
