CEDAW recommendations promotion campaign #NeVremeZaZene begins

ASTRA, Autonomous Women’s Center and Women in Black, in cooperation with BeFem, launched a campaign to promote the recommendations of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). The aim of the campaign is to point out the inadequate attitude of the state towards women in general, and in particular regarding the state’s obligation to prevent every form of discrimination against women and ensure their enjoyment of rights. On this occasion, in the framework of the “NeVreme za žene u Srbiji” campaign, several videos and graphics were prepared with data that illustrate the attitude of the state and society towards this topic. Those materials illustrate stereotypes about women, violence against women, trafficking in women, education of women, women’s health and the national mechanism for gender equality … If you want to find out under what conditions women in Serbia live, follow our social networks and YouTube channel in the next 30 days.
