ASTRA participated in the conference on “Cooperation between Civil Society Organizations and Law Enforcement Agencies: Strengthening Multi-Disciplinary Responses for Missing Children in Europe,” held in Athens on October 21, 2024. The event brought together key stakeholders to discuss and enhance collaborative efforts for the protection of missing children across Europe.
Tamara Vukasović, Deputy Director and one of the founders of ASTRA, contributed as a speaker in Panel 3: Human Trafficking and Exploitation, sharing ASTRA’s extensive experience in tackling these critical issues in Serbia. Alongside other experts, she discussed innovative approaches to addressing the exploitation of children and human trafficking, highlighting ASTRA’s role in advocating for stronger institutional responses and public awareness campaigns.
The following day, on October 22, 2024, Tamara Vukasović represented ASTRA at the General Assembly of Missing Children Europe. During the assembly, the results and future plans of the network were presented.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of The Smile of the Child, giving participants the opportunity to learn more about the
organization’s work and its exceptional technical capacities and programs related to missing children and beyond.
