ASTRA’s Director Delivered a Lecture on Lawyers’ Practical Knowledge in the Field of Children’s Rights

At the invitation of Södertörn University in Stockholm, Sweden, and the Centre for Studies in Practical Knowledge, ASTRA’s Director, Marija Andjelkovic, delivered a lecture on December 10 on the topic of Strategic Litigation as a Tool of Civil Society for Supporting Children in Implementing the Right to Access Justice.

The workshop was a one-day event consisting of three parallel sessions and a practical workshop, followed by a discussion.

The lecture was delivered to professionals in the fields of law, security, social protection, and healthcare as part of the second session titled Implementation of Children’s Rights and Lawyers’ Practical Knowledge.

This session presented a baseline for understanding lawyers’ practical knowledge in the field of children’s rights, along with ongoing results from empirical research related to the knowledge, skills, and attributes lawyers need to implement children’s rights and contribute to building a sustainable society.

Other sessions focused on children’s rights and the general principles of children’s rights, as well as sustainable practices.

The workshop was funded by the Centre for Baltic and East European Studies (CBEES), Södertörn University.
