Astra Organized A Training For Teachers And Education Professionals In Sid

On December 9 and 10, 2024, a two-day training for teachers and education professionals from primary and secondary schools took place at the “Dve Kule” hotel in Bacinci. The training, titled “Human Trafficking (Children) – Prevention and Education,” brought together 21 participants from Sid. The participants familiarized themselves with key aspects of this complex issue and strengthened their capacity to recognize and prevent human trafficking.

During the two-day training, various sessions were conducted, covering the legal framework and specificities of human trafficking, risk factors for becoming part of the trafficking chain, safe internet usage as a preventive measure, and the role of schools in the protection and reintegration of victims. Special emphasis was placed on recognizing indicators for the preliminary identification of trafficking victims within the education system and applying the knowledge gained through the analysis of practical case studies.

Through interactive workshops and group work, participants developed an Action Plan for the prevention of human trafficking in schools, contributing to the strengthening of preventive activities within educational institutions. The training evaluation showed high satisfaction among participants, who rated it as extremely useful and relevant to their work.

In the coming period, the ASTRA Peer Educators Team will conduct workshops for primary and secondary school students within the territory of the Municipality of Sid, thereby completing the cycle of preventive activities in this field.

ASTRA extends its gratitude to the Municipality of Sid for their invitation and support in organizing this important event. This collaboration highlights the importance of joint efforts to strengthen the protection of children and youth through preventive measures within the education system.
