Novi Pazar – Several persons suspected for human trafficking arrested over human trafficking in Novi Pazar. B92 reported on the problem.
In nightclub “Jet Set” several potential victims of human trafficking were discovered, including Marija K. from Sombor, Leposava P. from Loznica and Milica B. from Belgrade; they were transferred to a shelter for victims of human trafficking in Belgrade. After the inspection of several nightclubs, detention was set for Hasiba R, Hasib Š, Faruk Dž, Idriz F, Nur B, Elvis Dž. from Novi Pazar and Milena S. from Vršac, said the police in a statement.
B92 broadcasted a series on the night club “Jet set”, as it was suspected that victims of human trafficking are forced to prostitution in there.
Then the Police department from Novi Pazar stated that they have no knowledge on prostitution or abuse of girls in that bar.
Encouraged by such statements by the Police, the owners of the “Jet set” even organized press conference where the owner and girls that work in this club denied suspicions that they were engaged in prostitution.
