An international workshop “Cooperation of European Parliamentarians in the fight against human trafficking in the Western Balkans” was held in the National Assembly on May 18, 2017 in cooperation with the Human Trafficking Foundation from the UK. At the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to hear the experience of members of parliament on the issue of human trafficking from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Romania, Great Britain and Serbia, as well as parliamentary structures in the fight against human trafficking. Also, the representatives of ASTRA and Atina presented the current difficulties and challenges in this area and proposed steps aimed at establishing better cooperation between members of parliament and civil society organizations.
